Re: Deskjet 4580 driver faults

With regards to your request, I downloaded the Deskjet F4500 series files direct from HP.com for my Windows 7 (32bit) computer, but on running the files, it did NOT contain the files for the HP Solutions Centre.

The printer was connected direct via USB to the motherboard.. So I then removed the printer from my computer and tried 3-4 times to correctly load the files.  But everytime I loaded the files, it kept coming up with "Load Extra Software" for my printer, but only HP Photo Creations details would load up.

After attempting various ways to get the files to download, I noticed that my WINDOWS Explorer (not Internet Explorer!) had developed a fault and my system had slowed down to a crawl....

In the end, I removed the printer files and printer from my kit and allowed Windows to recognise the printer directly, to which it loaded the basic drivers, but I have no extra software for scanning pictures or documents...

I also noticed that after this problem, the Windows Explorer would not recognise any other USB device that was connected to it, like my Flash Drive Memory.....

At the moment, the printer will print, but thats about it!!!!

Any further advice??? :-)
