Microsoft say they make the OP System they don't care if it is not compatible to the HP 5520 all in one, They say it is up to HP to make the drivers work for the printer, which the new drivers do not for Windows 8.1 even though HP online help says it does it does not. So the only thing I can say is HP should not support Windows until they change the views towards the companies that make hardware for the computers they support or start making drivers that work. Buy the way it is Christmas time and the HP 5520 and 6520 are going on sale, whatch what you buy in printers cause Windows 8.1 may not work
