Hi patlucas,
I see that you're trying to print to your Officejet 4500. Try using the Hp ePrint app. If it asks for an ePrint email address then you will have to skip and move to the next screen.

I am not able to run HP update to check for the latest printer drivers. Message says, "The application failed due to missing software library. The application will exit. HPSU-0004". I tried re-installing and still the same error message. I am running Windows 7 on a Sony laptop.
Anyone know if there is a window 8 driver for the hp laser jet m2727nf?
Hi,
Please check the following list:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03168175
If not in the list then you have to wait and this may or may not come.
Regards.
Michael, sounds like you are having an issue printing images. To start I do not think that you can print images from Notepad, however it is possible to print them from Wordpad. May I ask why you are not printing them directly from the file itself? Is there a reason you are printing the .jpg from a program such as Wordpad?
This could be a software issue, so I am going to want you to do some basic trouble shooting for me.
Well, no help so what I did:
Ran the install using the numeric folder name that the original install was done in.
Install, of course, did not complete but drivers were installed.
After reboot ran Print and Scan doctor to ensure print function was still 100%.
Downloaded 3rd party scanning app- tied to HP Scanning App (which I could not find and shortcut to desktop) Tested scanner and PC-run functions (and HP Imaging Monitor) are 100%, but still no Front Panel scan function.
Tested fax with fax simulator- tested 100%.
Customer is NOT happy that HP Solution Center will not run due to erroneous install. I explained that there is a compatibility issue with HP and windows 7, and that due to the age of the printer it is no longer supported, therefore no new updates available.
Customer will probably buy a new AIO printer sooner than later...made no recommendation as to vendor.
There is no successful apple driver for Mountain Lion and the HP G85. What driver are you suggesting?
Sorry for the delay, I was out of the country. As far as I know there is no driver that works. The most recent post from Kyle W did not give a specific that would work for the G85 for which I am aware. If you do have success, let me know.
Does anyone know why in trying to actually download this driver
I get taken around in circles? Clicking the actual file name/download link
I get taken to "Region Selection"; then to another download link page, and then back
to the beginning - over and over.
What can be done to download? Thank You
AUntieEm,
Thanks for update on drivers. When I click on the link it takes me in circles, so to speak: the initial driver/filename link leads to "Region Selection", and then to the final download page, then back to where I started.
What should I do to download the file?
Thank You
installed a new router, the printer does not recognize the new router,
so left the usb connection,
now after switching the printer off and on, it does not initialize, i.e, the dialog box on the printer does not come on and so cannot scan a document

I need to check the ink levels on my printer. HP tells me to go to the solution center under HP. I do not have it.
have just order a CD/DVD to reinstall as have mislaid the original. But thanks for your advice
^^ sorry, no answer. For me it was a very straightforward process with no surprises.
Hmmm...all you should have to do is click on the download button then run or save the file from the bar at the bottom of your screen. Are you able to do that?
Once you click run, you should be getting a User Account Control where you click yes to start the driver package, the next popup will be the licensing agreement, then the installer will start installing the drivers.
Here is the link in case the one I previously gave you was messed up: p1006 - 64 bit driver (if you need the 32 bit driver just use the selecting OS drop down menu and select it there)
I need assistance in installing an HP Laserjet 1012. I have followed Sean's suggestions and have downloaded the HP 1015 driver. I can not get a test page to print. I am using Windows 7, have the USB cable plugged into a back port. My issue seems to come when choosing a 'port'. I do not have a USB port listed as an option. Nor the Generic IEEE .... unless i create it. And then i'm not sure I'm creating it correctly. I have tried using the 'local printer' option and the 'network' option. Appreciate any and all assistance. Thanks in advance.
You can download the full feature drivers and software from the website.
requiero un dravin para hacer funcionar el scanner

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system?
